Drilling Activity for Friday, August 14, 2009 |
Well: APS Cholla Pilot CO2 Well |
Rig: Bearcat Rig 2 |
Activity: Install Storm Anchors; Begin Rig Mobilization |
Bearcat equipment began arriving at the site at 6:30 a.m. Bearcat rig personnel were given the site awareness orientation and the Health and Safety Plan was reviewed. Equipment was set down on location but could not be placed into position because the rig’s substructure (first piece of equipment that must be positioned) was delayed at the Arizona Port of Entry due to excessive height. The trucking company dispatched a float with a lower profile to the border and transferred the substructure onto it. The substructure was allowed entry into the state and arrived at the job site at 4:30 p.m. The substructure was positioned over the well and aligned. The ramp to the substructure could not be placed into position because the surface location was uneven. The surface was graded level and the ramp was placed into position. Operations were suspended at 8:00 p.m. due to darkness. |
